Section One: Consumer Credit

Section One: Consumer Credit

In this section, students will identify the steps in obtaining consumer credit and the benefits of doing so. All laws under the Consumer Credit Protection Act exist to keep the credit granting, reporting and collections process fair and reasonable. Properly applied, these laws protect both the consumer and the credit provider. Credit companies will continue to look for ways to meet clients’ needs. Individuals will be able to take advantage of such services throughout their lifetime if they learn to use credit responsibly.
