Association Services

Association Services

REALTORS® have a unique membership system called the three-way agreement, which provides services at the local, state, and national levels. While this creates tremendous benefit for members, it also creates opportunities for collaboration and support between each association level. Missouri REALTORS® provides a variety of support to the local boards/associations across the state, related to our core service areas of risk management (specifically professional development), government affairs, member engagement, and operations.

Professional Development Partnerships

Missouri REALTORS® seeks to partner with local boards/associations to bring its exclusive educational programs directly to members in-person and in-market, including the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation and the CRB and C-RETS courses from the Real Estate Business Institute.

Core Standards Compliance and Support

Annual compliance with the National Association of REALTORS® Core Standards is crucial to ensure members have access to minimum services regardless of the local they choose, knowing that each board/association provides additional and unique programs and services tailored to their market. Missouri REALTORS® provides regular tips and reminders throughout the year to help Association Executives complete this annual process, to document the outstanding resources and activities they provide.

Regional Advocacy and State Political Coordinators

Government affairs and advocacy work is at the heart of any trade association. While Missouri REALTORS® are focused on working with lawmakers in Jefferson City, local boards/associations are working hard at the county and municipal levels to monitor legislation related to real property. Through the Regional Advocacy Program, Missouri REALTORS® staff are assigned to three territories to support local AEs with any legislative questions or grant applications to NAR. Missouri REALTORS® staff also help train and schedule meetings for State Political Coordinators (as part of local REALTOR® Days at the Capitol) who can speak to lawmakers in Jeff City about issues happening in their respective communities.

RPAC Fundraising Tracking and Resources

Missouri REALTORS® staff are also available to assist local AEs with RPAC fundraising to reach goals established for them by the national association each year. This includes access to an online auction platform, fundraising ideas and support, as well as independent expenditures or campaign funding requests during elections.

Legal Action Program

To provide legal assistance to local boards/associations should they be named in a lawsuit related to policies of the national or state associations, or help defray costs of litigation involving issues that could impact members across the state, or the practice of real estate in Missouri.

Local AE Collaboration via Missouri REALTORS® business conferences and The Landing

Peer-to-peer networking is critical in any industry. While each association offers a unique set of programs and services, sharing ideas and asking questions of each other is one of the best ways to learn. Missouri REALTORS® offers AEs an online community through The Landing, where they can share resources and ask questions in real-time, and find opportunities for collaboration and networking at each state business conference.

Local Board/Association Microsites

Through The Landing, Missouri REALTORS® offers an affordable option for websites and online collaboration. Local boards/associations can use a microsite as their homepage or a secondary resource, and they’re welcome to use the community features to communicate with their volunteer leaders and share local events.

MREC License Matching

Missouri REALTORS® compares its statewide membership database and to Missouri Real Estate Commission licensed records, twice a year to help local AEs comply with the membership requirements from the National Association of REALTORS®. Reports are provided to help identify prospective new members and correct potentially incorrect membership records.

Professional Standards Program

Many local boards/associations have selected Missouri REALTORS® to administer their professional standards program. This covers complaints brought against members related to the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, as well as arbitrations related to commission disputes. This is a paid service based on member count.

Association Services (Point-of-Entry, Dues Billing Services, and Accounting)

Missouri REALTORS® professional staff handles membership and accounting services for many of the local boards/associations across the state. Options include Point-of-Entry Services to the RAMCO membership database and annual dues billing support, plus the ability to add-on accounting services. This is a paid service based on member count.

Local Board of Directors Orientation and Strategic Planning

Annual training of local board/association boards of directors is crucial to ensuring volunteer leaders understand their fiduciary responsibilities and how their programs and resources align with their local strategic plan. Missouri REALTORS® offers board orientation and strategic planning services to local boards at no charge, upon request.
