REALTOR® Priority Campaigns

Missouri REALTORS® are facing significant threats at the ballot box this year - threats that endanger current constitutional taxpayer protections we sponsored to protect housing affordability, as well as our citizens’ initiative petition power to make law directly.

This is an update on new steps your association is taking to defend these popular taxpayer protections and our citizens’ power.

Missouri REALTORS® leadership has approved engaging in an opposition election campaign coalition to fight House Joint Resolution 173-174, the legislatively approved constitutional amendment that would set aside current REALTOR®-backed and voter-approved constitutional protections for taxpayers and housing affordability. Details forthcoming. 

Additionally, our Missourians for Fair Governance campaign has launched against Amendment 4, a proposal that would effectively kill the citizens’ initiative process REALTORS® have used to enact constitutional taxpayer protections. Our campaign is called “Protect MOjority Rule.” And REALTORS® will be a key player in the Amendment 4 opposition coalition.

Both campaigns are encouraging "NO" votes on these two ballot measures. We hope you will find these resources helpful.
