About the Code of Ethics Requirement

New members of local REALTOR® associations must complete Code of Ethics training when they first join.
A new member who has completed the New Member Code of Ethics Orientation does not need to take additional ethics training until the next three-year cycle.

Existing REALTOR® members must complete 2.5 hours of ethics training within each three-year cycle, meeting specific learning objectives and criteria.

If a REALTOR® completes the required ethics training within a cycle in one association, that training applies to all other associations the member belongs to within the same cycle.
