The Missouri REALTORS® Relief Foundation (MRRF) was established to provide relief primarily in areas in Missouri which suffer natural or man-made caused disasters that result in damages affecting the ability of owners of real estate to enjoy the fruits of the ownership, affects the ability of REALTORS® to practice their trade or in any other way generally affects the usage, enjoyment, or the effectiveness of real estate.

Since 2011, the Relief Foundation has delivered more than $150,000 in funds to REALTORS® both within and outside of Missouri who been affected by natural disasters.

Bollinger County Tornado Relief Application

In collaboration with the National Association of REALTORS® Relief Fund, Missouri REALTORS® and Southeast Missouri REALTORS® are proud to make $100,000 in funds available to Missourians impacted by the tornado that hit Bollinger County on April 5, 2023 (“Disaster”).

Assistance is available to qualified applicants towards one of the following options:

  1. One month's mortgage expense for the occupied primary residence that was damaged by the Disaster;
  2. Temporary rental cost due to displacement from the occupied primary residence resulting from the Disaster (not the current lease amount on the Damaged Property); or, 
  3. Reimbursement of paid hotel expenses due to displacement from the occupied primary residence resulting from the Disaster.

Relief assistance is limited to a maximum of $1,000 per household. Deadline for application submission is June 30, 2023. Please note this program is for housing assistance only; other expenses are ineligible for reimbursement under this program.

Qualified applicant must be a full-time resident of Missouri and a U.S. citizen, or legally admitted for residence in the United States. Additional details are available on the application, which can be accessed at the link below.

Application for Disaster Relief Assistance

To provide for a reasonable and equitable distribution of funds, assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis. All grants are contingent upon the availability of funds provided by the National Association of REALTORS® Relief Foundation for this initiative, or additional funds as may be approved by the Missouri REALTORS® Relief Foundation. If approved, grants will be payable to applicant directly via check. We are unable to provide funds via online apps or with cash.

Turnaround time on applications may take 2-3 weeks. PLEASE review the application for the required documentation and supply all required information at the time of submission. If you do not, it will significantly increase the time it takes to process your application and disburse funds.
