National Directors
National Directors represent Missouri REALTORS® at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) level. Members of the NAR Board of Directors have duties and responsibilities for governing our association, and the association counts on directors to participate as we deliberate issues that impact our members’ daily business lives. NAR appoints a certain number of directors annually, per state, based on membership count. Within Missouri, when one or more vacancies for the office of National Director, nominations for candidates are solicited and accepted from all local boards/associations of Missouri REALTORS®. National Director terms are three years. The election for National Directors is held annually during the April Board of Directors meeting at the Spring Business Conference. To be considered, applications must be received at least 30 days prior to the scheduled Board of Directors meeting.
To serve as a National Director you must be a REALTOR® member in good standing, actively engaged in the business of real estate. You must have served in some capacity within NAR governance, a state or local association, or NAR Institute, Society, or Council.
