While the state of Missouri has passed legalization of medical marijuana, cities and towns across the state are learning how this will impact their communities; starting with real estate. Learn how properties to be used for dispensaries or grow facilities are impacted by zoning ordinances, lending guidelines, insurance underwriting, and the entire real estate transaction.

Deena Zimmerman is an award-winning broker who has worked in the real estate industry since 2004. Serving as a vice president in the SVN Chicago office, Deena’s focus is on tenant representation, specializing in finding high-quality sites throughout Chicagoland and surrounding areas for national operators, franchisees, and first-time entrepreneurs. Deena also specializes in the sale and leasing of retail, investment and development properties.

Deena has built an extensive network of contacts through her involvement in several local and national organizations. She was the 2017 Commercial Liaison for the National Association of Realtors and 2017 Chair of the Chicago Association of Realtors Commercial Forum. Deena is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, WIRL (Women in Retail Leasing) and CCIM. In 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017, she was honored by Chicago Agent Magazine as one of 50 Chicago Powerhouses in their annual “Who’s Who” issue and has been the only female commercial agent chosen. She has been honored three years in a row with the SVN Chicago Commercial Centurion Club Award for her achievements in sales/leasing.
