Requirements

Before taking classes that apply to the MRE, you must hold both the GRI and at least one other NAR-related designation. The following designations qualify you to begin working toward the MRE Certification:

Once you have your GRI and another NAR-related designation, you simply complete a total of three courses, chosen from the following categories, within a two-year period. The two-year period begins with the date of the first course you take. One of the courses must be a GRI module, and no more than two may come from any single category:

Category 1:

GRI modules

(All MO courses qualify. These are numbered from 401 to 412)

Category 2:

NAR-related designation courses

Category 3:

REBAC elective courses

  • “Successful Buyer Representation in New Home Sales”

  • “Successful Relocation Representation”

  • “Representing the e-Buyer”

  • “Innovative Marketing Techniques”

Category 4:

At Home with Diversity: One America Course

Category 5:

e-PRO

(NAR’s Internet Professional Certification)

Category 6:

Convention Professional Development

[Combination of two 3-hour Professional Development classes held during Convention (CE classes do not count) This category may include Property Management, Appraisal, RLI, or other affiliate group one-day education classes held during Convention.]

Category 7:

Missouri GRI Graduate Seminar

(If 3 hours, may combine with a Professional Development class)

Category 8:

MAR Annual Professional Standards Seminar

Category 9:

SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) Designation Course

“Complete” means that you pass the course test, if there is one. Submit your “pass” letter as documentation.
