Before taking classes that apply to the MRE, you must hold both the GRI and at least one other NAR-related designation. The following designations qualify you to begin working toward the MRE Certification:

Once you have your GRI and another NAR-related designation, you simply complete a total of three courses, chosen from the following categories, within a two-year period. The two-year period begins with the date of the first course you take. One of the courses must be a GRI module, and no more than two may come from any single category:
