How do I get started in real estate?
The Missouri Association of REALTORS® is the leading source for REALTOR® continuing education, resources and advocacy in the state.
Once you get your real estate sales or brokerage license, you can become a member of the REALTOR® organization--a three-way membership with a local association of REALTORS® the Missouri Association of REALTORS® (MAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). When you become a member you can use the term REALTOR® in promoting yourself and your business. REALTORS® are distinguished from other licensed real estate salespersons by the strict code of ethics they follow.

The Missouri Association of REALTORS® is made up of 37 local Boards/Associations. REALTOR® membership begins at the local level. For a complete list of all the local Boards/Assoctiations, please visit the

The Missouri Association of REALTORS® application for membership is accepted by the remaining local Boards/Associations that are not mentioned above. Please contact the local Board/Assoctiation that you would like to join in order to receive local dues amounts and further instructions. A membership application must be completed in it's entirety before it will be accepted.
