Welcome to the home buying experience. The decision to purchase a home is likely one of the most important decisions you will make. It will probably be one of the largest financial transactions you will make in your lifetime. Planning and careful study can ensure that your home purchase is a wise decision personally and financially.

The Missouri REALTORS® Educational Foundation and the Consumer Education Output Group have partnered to create the two modules below, where you will find many tools and resources to help you get started on the path to homeownership.

Real Estate 101 - Preparing For The Future

We all need shelter; it is a basic human need. But the kind of shelter needed changes throughout your life. A college student’s needs are obviously not the same as those of a married couple with children. In any case, it is important for all of us to learn some basics in the business of renting, buying or selling property because most of us, one way or another, will eventually be involved in these activities. Included in this guide are tools and resources to help you get started on the path to homeownership. This course is best suited for high school or college age students.

One of the first things you will want to do is make sure you are ready to buy.
